A Perfect Outdoors Honeymoon

Evan and I decided to go on a backpacking trip in the Olympics right after we got married at Ebey's Landing on Whidbey Island (where we now live, I'm writing this post 2 years after this trip, again).

After the backpacking trip, we hungout at Salt Creek Recreation Area and swam around Crescent Beach. This was one of my bucket list swimming spots for a while, and I'm so glad we went. We decided to get down to the beach from the parking area and then swim around the little rock outcropping and back. It was cold and beautiful.

We want to return here to surf Crescent Beach - the last time we were there - there was a little rental cabana on the beach!

NOTE: I am not an expert and this site is meant to give you tips on OWS and some ideas for adventures. If you're really serious about OWS, a swim coach is probably helpful. Your safety is ultimately in your own hands. Be smart out there and have fun!
