Mid-Distance Routes to Repeat
My mermaid friends and I again donned our superheroine suits and practiced our best power poses to swim around wild Blake Island, a 475-acre marine park with miles of trails (only 27-minutes off the coast of Seattle by Argosy Cruise Fast Ferry). Blake Island is nearly untouched, accessible only by boat. This long swim featured major chop; purple crabs; a bout of nausea; too many Clif Bloks, and a beer, hot token showers, and clam chowder at the finish line. I highly recommend this swim, I now hold the opinion that Blake Island is an open water swim paradise.
